The work The Fantasma represents the selection of the theater actors´ portraits whose talent or face attracted my attention. Under their professional mask, they hide the same pleasure or pain as anybody else. For me as an introvert, this work meant a huge challenge - to get over my personality and to confront myself with those who since the beginning act confidently and eccentrically as they would never leave the scene. My goal was to capture the person out of his professional body and to wait until the moment when their sole is exposed.

Every portrait is organically connected to the still life as its interpretation. It is a picture and an illusion of the person I was able to see for a short moment. The still life is expressing the feeling that remains when you close your eyes while the person is already gone. The Fantasma.
